SAERTEX multiCom® - Headquarter, Saerbeck

Strong foundation from the Münsterland

In 2011 it was decided that at its headquarters in Saerbeck new production capacity and a new administration building should be built to accommodate the ever-growing international non-disruptive sewer renovation market.

The first phase began that summer with the new production hall for the impregnation of glass fibre liners. The highlight of this new hall is the ultra-modern resin mixing plant, which works unlike conventional systems, as a fully automated closed system, and as a complement to the very reliable infusion system, to offer unique quality assurance in the manufacture of GRP-liners.

Early in spring 2012, ground was broken for the generous administration building and the production hall for "dry goods", and the production of dry fibreglass liners up to DN 2200 is now possible with the new production facilities.

Due to the two production halls with a total of 14,000 square meters, and the new administration building with approximately 1,200 square feet, new possibilities and opportunities have emerged. But the Research and Development DEPARTMENT was to be handled by a new, spacious in house laboratory. In particular, the test stand for the testing of new products as well as the training and test site with different profiles and pipe diameters from DN 100 to 1200, complete the application-oriented development of GRP products with regard to the trenchless rehabilitation of pipes.

SAERTEX multiCom® Huntersville, USA

In early 2001 SAERTEX® took US production to an ultra-modern production plant in Huntersville near the US economic centre of Charlotte, North Carolina. Since then, the total production area has been expanded to over 11,000 square meters and now represents the largest production of multiaxial fabrics in America.

Therefore, the resulting fibres are used in the automotive and aerospace industries, in the wind industry, boat building and sports and leisure industry and, last but not the least, in the construction industry, such as in the production of liners for the trenchless renovation of sewer pipes.

SAERTEX multiCom® uses this infrastructure as a base for their business. In addition SAERTEX multiCom® opened a distribution centre in Denver, Colorado in 2009 and has invested in the latest UV curing technology. UV systems are available on-site for rent or purchase. In addition to a large UV curing system with a radial compressor capacity of up to 360 m³/hour and a UV dual core with 8 x 1000 Watts, a mobile UV system can also be installed in areas with limited space available.

SAERTEX multiCom® (Pinghu), China

A rolling stone gathers no moss. (Chinese proverb)

For a number of years SAERTEX multiCom® coordinated all activities for the Asia-Pacific region from their location in Taicang near Shanghai. In the beginning of 2017 the location relocated to Pinghu and a own production was built. The experience of recent years shows that the use of GRP-liners for the non-disruptive sewer renovation in Asia has rapidly increased.

However, countries of Western Asia and Australia have high potential - and so the activities in this area are successfully bundled near Shanghai.

Locally, our customers have the support of experienced application engineers and a UV system is available.

New production and warehouse facility for SAERTEX multiCom

The construction work began early October on a new warehouse and production facility for SAERTEX multiCom at the site in Saerbeck. The project involves the installation of additional new production systems to expand the capacity for GRP-liners at the facility, which covers a surface area of  4,500 m2. The field of house connection liners (HASE) is being expanded with new areas, especially for the packaging, the impregnation, and the storage of the new light-cured liner.
